Romance Books About the Mafia: Control Me by Michelle Heard
What a epic love story and romance books about the mafia. I am at a loss for words.
Abbie is attending St. Monarch’s with her best friend Aurora (Aurora’s story is book one of the series). If you read Destroy Me you will know that Abbie and Aurora are night and day. Abbie is sassy, brazen, flirtatious and will say anything. The first time she sees Nikolai, her instructor, she flirts with him although there is an 18 year age gap. He is incensed but eventually she wears him down but then Abbie is kidnapped and endures something no woman should go through and she is broken. Nikolai realizes his love for her and helps her heal.
The author dealt with a sensitive subject delicately and like Abbie says Nikolai becomes her hero. I loved how he interacted with her and cared for her after the trauma. The whole book was just done beautifully. Truly an awesome mafia romance and I look forward to more in this series.
Although this book overlaps with book 1 Destroy Me I found it helpful to read the first book before this one. Check your trigger warnings….please. They are in the front of the book.
